Most often this was used only in Church affairs and would not be used in any other circumstances. I have a Margaret b. 1751........ could not find her for years. Finally in a baptism of her son,(in Montreal, Quebec) she was listed as Anna Margaret SAULTMAN. Going back over other records........ found Anna in other Church records that was her in Philadelphia, PA.
