I cannot find this guy in 1920 anywhere, but he was at 34 Mulberry Street in 1910 and at 19 Madison Street (rear) in 1930. I have tried looking up his Madison neighbors in the 1920 census, but by 1930, there are mostly black families living on this block, and they appear to have been recent arrivals-- none of them are on this street in 1920. Could someone with access to a 1920 city directory please see if they can find William Betz so I can track down his census record? (In 1930 he was a press hand for a machine shop.) They should have four children by now (Dorothy, Catherine, Henrietta, Edith) but unfortunately Ancestry's 1920 search index is head-of-household only... Related request: does anyone have any family living on Madison in the 1920 census? I'm convinced that this family has to be somewhere in the neighborhood in 1920....
