Thanks you all for your kind responses. Yes, I'm quite certain that it's "Frame," which I had tentatively rejected as a possibility, thinking that it would have been synonymous with "Plank." And also, this morning I found a transcription of a page from the 1875 census using "Frame" as a type as well as "Plank." Wonder how they differed (?)
