    3. Dianne~ Using the Ancestry.com immigration databases, I located the record that interests you: Name: Pierre Langfield Arrival Date: Nov 11, 1831 Age: 38 Gender: M Port of Arrival: New York Place of Origin: Switzerland Occupation: Farmer Destination: New York Ship: Ship Huntress Microfilm Serial Number: M237 Microfilm Roll Number: 15 List Number: 407 Source Information: Ancestry.com. New York, 1820-1850 Passenger and Immigration Lists [database online]. Provo, Utah: MyFamily.com, Inc., 2003. Original data: New York. Registers of Vessels Arriving at the Port of New York from Foreign Ports, 1789-1919. Micropublication M237, rolls # 1-95. National Archives, Washington, D.C. Other LANGFIELDs on this passenger list include: Barbary Langfield <javascript:godcbca10()> 28 F Henry Langfield <javascript:godcbca11()> 5 M Margaret Langfield <javascript:godcbca12()> 3 F Nicol Langfield <javascript:godcbca13()> 7 M Pierre Langfield <javascript:godcbca14()> 38 M Rosine Langfield <javascript:godcbca15()> 1 F The Ancestry.com immigration databases are well worth the subscription cost and I recommend them highly to all. To obtain a complete photocopy of this passenger list, you can request a copy from the National Archives (NARA) or go to your local district office and pull a copy of yourself (assuming they have the films in your region). I'm suspecting that the Ship Huntress was a fairly large ship and that this may be a very lengthy passenger list (i.e., expensive to photocopy!). If you need some additional advice, feel free to contact me directly at katej-AT-idcomm.com. Congratulations on finding your LANGENFELDs! Best of luck with your hunt. I found the entry in a book entitled Arrival at the Port of New York, 1830-1832. I think Peter has traveled from Germany to France to Switzerland before coming to the U.S. (Wow!) > >Does anyone know how I can obtain the complete passenger list for this trip of the ship, THE HUNTRESS? I am not finding Michael FEIT in that same book, but this spelling may also be obscured. Michael may have come later. I cannot find him in the 1840 census. > >Thank you. I think Michael's daughters were: Magdalena, Emily, Anna Maria, and Barbara Feit Langenfeld. Another related family appears to be Martin FRYSMAN and Margaretha Langenfeld Frysman. Magdalena, Martin, and Margaretha were in the U.S. by 1832. I want to know if they came on the same ship in an obscured spelling. > >Dianne > >

    3. Thank you, Kate, So if I write to NARA, would they give me a complete passenger list for that ship? I am trying to locate the extended family to see whether they got on the same ship. I went alphabetically through the book and located Peter and family, but I could not find the Feit and Frysman families alphbetically. However, since they might be dreadfully misspelled, I thought that if I saw the list of passengers who traveled with the Langenfelds, I might find the others.
