Thanks to Chris for the index check also to Zona and Nancy for the suggestions. (And why didn't I think of the City Directory idea myself?) I even have an FHC about 20 mins away, but it always seems like such a pain to get there. I guess it's "no pain, no gain". I do have the marriage license, which has a number of inconsistencies on it (ages and occupations) and which does not indicate a Church, but merely a location of Gardenville. Floyd

I hate to disillusion you, but you won't find a city directory that covers Gardenville. The Buffalo directories cover strictly inside the city limits until the 1930s, and even then, they ignore the Town of West Seneca where Gardenville is located. What is the location in Gardenville? This might be enough to pinpoint the church, if indeed the deed was done in a church. Geore
