Loth, 89, a resident of Windsor Park Manor, will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, at Village Green Baptist Church, 200 S. Lambert Road, Glen Ellyn IL. Interment will be private in Wheaton Cemetery. Born April 12, 1915 in Buffalo, N.Y., he died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield IL. Dr. Loth pastored Bethel Baptist Church in Buffalo in the early part of his career. He then became a professor at Philadelphia College of Bible, where he served as the director of the Bible-Christian Education program. He was the president of the Evangelical Teacher Training Association for more than 25 years. Dr. Loth was the chair of the founding committee of the Caribbean Association of Bible Colleges. He was an active member of Village Green Baptist Church. He is survived by three children, Joanne M. (Kenneth) Strike of Thendara, N.Y., Esther C. (Melbourne Ziska) Lo! th of Naperville IL, and Paul J. (Carol) Loth of Carol Stream IL; four grandchildren, Daniel (Diane) and Janet Strike, and Tiffany and Megan Loth; and a great-granddaughter, Maya Strike. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Janet; his brother, John; his sister, Ruth; and his great-grandson, Adam Strike. In lieu of flowers and in Dr. Paul E.
