And what an oddity... there were three addresses on that block where ancestors of mine had lived at least in 1890 and I think as late as 1897, but in 1900, NONE of those three addresses were listed/enumerated. Houses immediately around them were, but not those. So odd.... the families had moved out, but had not yet sold/rented the old property... The other thing I noticed is that so few of the surnames that were there earlier (and on nearby streets like Monroe and Madison) were still there in 1900... Did your ancestors who were in this neighborhood also move out around the same time? What was going on? Can anyone speak to that?
