    1. Re: Episcopal Church in Buffalo, 1851 or 1852
    2. I need help locating my grandfather's baptismal record. Does anyone know of an Episcopal Church that would have been in Buffalo or near 185 Franklin at that time? My grandfather was born Jan. 15, either 1851 or 1852 and, according to the Buffalo Commercial Advertiser & Business Directory of 1859, his father Hiram P. Thayer's home address is given as 185 Franklin which I believe was in Ward 4 at that time. Unfortunately, Erie kept no birth records until 1870.

I would suspect that St. Paul's Cathedral on Pearl St. would have been closest to the address on Franklin. In the 1880's it was not known as a cathedral. LDS does have a film, seemingly appropriate.
