    3. "Flowers are gratefully declined." Only Buffalo newspapers have this quote in obituaries. Not seen in any other newspapers. What's with them saying that so flat out? Usually it's "In lieu of flowers, please donate to specific charity or charity of your choice." Sometimes to children's trust fund in case of mother or father dying early while children are still young. David Samuelsen

    3. in chicago, and likely in other areas...flowers would be taken to the cemetery and a flower car cost extra money... so if there were no flowers there would be no need for a flower car....
