At one funeral I went to in Buffalo, the funeral director said only one bouquet was allowed at the cemetery, and the rest would be thrown away. That might be why they say, "Flowers are gratefully declined." The cemetery where my parents are, the groundskeeper is older, and getting tired of a lot of work, and I imagine that hauling away tons of flowers takes quite a bit of work. Kathy
