there is a new list.... il-cook-chicago-L@rootsweb.com sub the normal way.... i understand it has a prepend and replies go to the list... will be a nice additon to the other chicagoland lists that exist.... if your people used the erie canal or the great lakes, then do consider this CHICAGO list for some of your research.... it is new... subscribe and contribute... see how it progresses... help it progress and see what you might GET out of the effort
