    1. Petition for Naturalization Records
    2. Nancy Hanes
    3. An ancestor, Frederick Hanes, emigrated from Germany sometime between May 1846 (when he applied) and 1848 when he was naturalized. I have a copy of his naturalization paper dated November 1, 1848 from the Circuit court in Erie County. How do I go about obtaining his petition for naturalization? I really just want to find what ship he came over on from Germany. He is listed in the Wuerttemberg Emigration Index. Nancy Hanes __________________________________ Discover Yahoo! 3. double check the requirements regarding TIME on the two petitions required before naturalization... a total of 6 years as you have noted is not long enough....
