    3. The records center in St. Louis may not be able to send you his complete records. See the following site for information on what records may have survived the 1973 fire and alternative sources of military service data: http://www.va.gov/pressrel/99stlou.htm "A fire at the NPRC in St. Louis on July 12, 1973, destroyed about 80 percent of the records for Army personnel discharged between November 1, 1912, and January 1, 1960. About 75 percent of the records for Air Force personnel with surnames from "Hubbard" through "Z" discharged between September 25, 1947, and January 1, 1964, were also destroyed." ----- Original Message ----- From: <Utha@aol.com> To: <NYERIE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, January 09, 2005 3:45 PM Subject: Re: [NYERIE] Naval Records > As a relative of one that served in the service during WW11 you can write > to > the Records office in St. Louis and they will send you his complete > records. > I filed my discharge papers in Erie County when I got out of the service > and that only gives you the Order of separation and copies of the > Discharge. > Just go to Records Federal and you can trace down the correct address. > If I > can be of further assistance just E Mail me. > > Good Luck > _Utha@aol.com_ (mailto:Utha@aol.com) > > > ==== NYERIE Mailing List ==== > To contact the List Administrator: Dick Rose <dtrose@cox.net> > See the Archived Messages at: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ > > ============================== > Census images 1901, 1891, 1881 and 1871, plus so much more. > Ancestry.com's United Kingdom & Ireland Collection.
