Hi Dave U.S. census are set up differently from the U.K., in most cases you cant do an address look up. Do you have any names, ages, & occupations I can search genealogy.com & ancestry.com's indexes for you. Minor correction: the *digitized* censuses might not be searchable that way. But the original manuscripts, as seen on microfilm, are indeed arranged in geographical order. That's what makes census microfilms a great source for people who are researching their houses. They need only know the address, not the occupants. Nevertheless, I thought you could browse them in the order that the pages appear on the film--for example, you can read a whole ward or town if you wish. Have Ancestry and Heritage Quest eliminated that feature?
