The following on census means: A or Al stands for Alien NA stands for Naturalized PA stands for first papers filed From the U. S. Immigrations Records pages http://www.immigration-records.com/naturalizationrecords.asp Naturalization was three steps 1-Declarations of Intention (or First Papers) 2-Petition (Second or Final Papers) 3. Certificates of Naturalization Check out their website for further information.
