It is rare that our beloved George needs correction, but for 1855, only the towns *outside* of the city of Buffalo were indexed. Since Buffalo had just annexed Black Rock, it is not in the 1855 index. No other state censuses for Erie County are indexed. An index for Black Rock in 1850 is online at: http://www.wnygs.org/BlackRock1850.html -=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=- Webmaster: Cynthia Van Ness, MLS -- roots AT bfn DOT org Buffalo Roots: Genealogy & Family History in Buffalo, NY http://www.buffaloresearch.com/roots.html
