    3. I have a marriage record that I found on microfilm at the Buffalo Central Library. It took place in Nov 1897 at 791 West Avenue in Buffalo. Rev. Fred W. Raikes (that's what it looks like) performed the ceremony. Can anyone tell me what church was located at that address in 1897? Thank you in advance. Mary North Tonawanda, NY

Mary, The place to get an answer to this question is the Grosvenor Room of the Buffalo Public Library, downtown on Lafayette Square. The city directory for that year, or a nearby one will have a lost of churches in the front matter, or you can look for the pastor in the alphabetic section. George
