    2. I've said this before but this list is a real education. The help people give and the info and websites that you can pickup reading this list along with a geography lesson etc etc. The last hundred e-mails about food and weather and taverns was off topic but it does give you a flavor of the area your ancestors lived in. I mentioned Dyngus day and someone had a ? mark. Dyngus Day is a Polish tradition celebrated Monday after Easter and big in Buffalo area (Google it) When I lived out of this area and someone would say they were Polish; I'd put them to the test by asking them how they celebrate Dyngus Day and what they thought about Czarnina. If I drew a blank look; I knew they had lost their Polish traditions which is too bad. I happened to be German on all sides but grew up in Cheektowaga which was mostly Polish.
