I'm almost positive that when my Montroys came from Saginaw, Michigan to Buffalo they brought their furniture as I have a photo of them living in a large (very large) tent and the furniture is in the background. My Montroys were in the furniture business in Saginaw. I asked (NYERIE) how they would do this during the 1890's. I was told they brought the furniture in wagons or boats when crossing water.
