    3. I could be wrong but I think the Catholic church is the only one that technically forbids a second marriage following a divorce, thus the course of choice is an annulment. My daughter and her 2nd husband were both married to people who didn't want children and this wasn't known at the time of the first marriage. We're hoping they will go through the annulment process and be able to get married in the Church in the not too distant future.
