I'm not a WNYGS member so I don't presume to speak for them. Chances are good that the desire to film is there but I imagine that the consent & cooperation of the Diocese is necessary. It is possible that some of these records have already been filmed. Here's a woefully outdated list of local church records of various denominations on film: http://members.tripod.com/%7Ewnyroots/index-church.html --- [email protected] wrote: > I understand that they downsizing the Catholic Church in > Buffalo , I have > written a email to WNYGS to ask if they had any efforts in > microfilming those > records of the closed/merged church's and i havent heard > anything as of yet , > so i was wondering if anyone heard thru the grapevine or is a > member of the > WNYGS if they had it on the HONEY TO DO LIST... ..Thanks again > Paul .. ..sorry > i almost forget .. its 60 & sunny in Atlanta Ga and my Daffy's > are blooming > > > > **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Aren't most (if not all) of the records from the churches of the Buffalo Catholic Diocese already filmed by LDS? Microfilms for every church that I have looked for have been onsite at the FHC in Amherst, NY.
