    1. Re: [NYERIE] George W. McClure
    2. William: I have found George W. on the 1900 and 1920 Census, but can not find him on 1910. His son, George E. and family are on 1910 in Buffalo. Here is info: 1900: George W., born Dec. 1848 Scotland Landscape Artist; Margaret (wife), born June 1848 Scotland; George H (son) born June 1878 Scotland, Gardener (landscp); Isabel (dau) born Feb 1882 (at school); Alice (dau) born Oct 1883 (at school); Flora (dau) born Jan 1890 in Illinois (at school). Residence: 832 Delevan. 1910: George E. (head), age 31, born Scot, gardener (general); Ida L. (wife), age 25, born Tenessee, Florence (dau) age 5, born Missouri; Margaret L. (dau), age 3, born Kansas. Residence: 60 Rodney Rd. 1920: George W. (head), age 72, born Scotland, Landscape Architect; Margaret R. (wife), age 71, born Scotland; Alice (dau) age 32, born Scotland, Artist-studio; Flora,(dau) age 24, born New York, Landscape Architect; Isabella (dau) age 36, born Scotland. Residence: 54 Gates Circle. In the 1930 (which you say you have) Census, Flora is again listed as being born in IL. and George E. is with the family and listed as married, but his wife is not listed. You can mapquest the addresses. Gates Circle and Richmond Ave. are part of the connecting "Circles" and connecting Roads that Frederick Law Olmstead designed. One could assume that George W. and George E. may have both worked as landscapers on these. If you would like pictures, I am able to take some and email them to you. Nan **************It's Tax Time!
