I know this is a shot in the dark, but would anybody know if there would be a photo of the shooting of former President McKinley? I remember my grandmother saying that she and her mother (possibly her grandmother too) were in the line waiting to shake hands with the former president when he was shot. She said the man that shot him was only two ahead of her. Therefore, I thought if she was that close to the former president at the time, her picture might be in some photos captured that day. Try Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society, National Archives has a big photo collection, try www.fultonhistory.com which has over 10 Mil newspaper pages from NY State. Some newspaper may have posted a picture which shows the rope line and well wishers.
