    3. Usually, your library can find out where these newspapers are located for you.     Kathy --- On Wed, 9/16/09, nyerie-request@rootsweb.com <nyerie-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: From: nyerie-request@rootsweb.com <nyerie-request@rootsweb.com> Subject: NYERIE Digest, Vol 4, Issue 107 To: nyerie@rootsweb.com Date: Wednesday, September 16, 2009, 12:01 AM Today's Topics:    1. I am looking for the location where these New York newspapers are archived and I am able to get a list of the newspapers held there.   Does anyone have experience in Inter-Loaning these papers.   I have done this in Illinois and Minnesota and in state in Michigan. Thank you for your help. I wrote a recent blog entry about newspaper research and preparing timelines to assist in newspaper research on my family history blog, Intersections With History, if you're interested at http://janethallwerner.wordpress.com/. Good luck! His name was Ludwig .The places of  employment listed on the documents for Ludwig Hilburger was  Bell  Aircraft Corp in 1946 and his wife Elizabeth worked at The Rudolph  Wurlitzer Co. and the address that was given was given Catherine St . in  Williamsville NY .His Father indicated he was retired from Siemens  Schuckerts Works , but that was in Nurenburg Germany . I do know  according to records that Ludwig JR and Elizabeth didn't have any  children, so Elmer must be the other family that i haven not    made a connection.  .. Awhile back i had posted a message about Europeans coming to   America as a result of WW2 . After months of waiting and getting   caught up in procedure changes . I finally got the results of my   search  . My great Uncles son who was living in  Williamsville  sent for his folks in 1947 to come stay with him . The  thing i got back  were great with lots of information I received  . 2 colored passport pictures for Ludwig Hilburger and 2  for his wife  . One photo each was from their younger days and one was  current  when they were in their 60's I got a Birth record from Germany each  with all the parents  names & Street address I got a marriage  record from Germany I got a  Police Document indicated they  were   not involved with the Nazi party and were not arrested or  wanted for  anything . Copy of the application giving detailed  information about  themselves , it almost like a mortgage application  .  Also in the package i received letters from his Ludwig Jr,  his  son asking for permission to get his brother and wife to come  over  also . Along with letters from his employer saying what a great  employee  and American citizen he was . They also told me that  they had other  documents  that they could not give to me such  as Bank Statements and  Stock information showing proof they he could  afford to support them .. Then after all the work Ludwig Jr went thru  to get his  folks over to the states Ludwig Sr applies to go back to  Germany to retire  and stay for good two years later ,They even had a  copy of his passenger  ticket receipt for the ship to go back .  so that's pretty much everything . After a long wait and  100.00  in fees  for two people , it was worth it since i got so much   information and names and villages and dates  Paul Hilburger  in Sunny Humid Atlanta .. I am ready  for Fall and winter  ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list,  please send an email to NYERIE-request@rootsweb.com with the word  'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the  message ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the  list, please send an email to NYERIE-request@rootsweb.com with the word  'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the  message ------------------------------- To unsubscribe  from the list, please send an email to NYERIE-request@rootsweb.com with the  word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the  message ------------------------------ To contact the NYERIE list administrator, send an email to NYERIE-admin@rootsweb.com.
