I am researching the Kmiec line of my maternal g. grandparents, Fabianus Kmiec and Honorata Janczak who lived in the Laskowo, and Lopienno, Poznan, area of Prussia. After Fabianus and Honorata died three of their sons came to the U.S. They lived in Buffalo, Erie County, NY from about 1880 to 1886. They then moved here to Texas, settling in the town of Chappell Hill in Washington, County. There was a Martin Janczak who must have been a cousin from their mother’s side who came to Buffalo about the same time. He then moved to Washington County, Texas, also. He was married to .Agnes Natkowiak in the R C Parish of Debnica, Poland. He was the son of Urbanus Janczak and Antonia Kmiec. The children of Fabianus and Honorata were: Piotr b.25 Jun 1855 Symon b.20 Oct 1857 Franciscus b.10 20 Dec 1861 Victoria b.20 Dec 1861 Josef b. Aug 1865.
