Hi, I'm researching the MACH family. Adam MACH, (Dec 1823 - 02 Nov 1902) born in Pozen, Poland, married Applonia ?. To the best of my knowledge, Applonia never made it to the US. Adam arrived on 23 Apr 1891. With him were two daughters, Salomea, Michael and Rosa. It is my understanding Adam was buried in the old St. Adolphus cemtery that was behind Thruway mall and was relocated when they they tore down the amll and put in the K Mart and other stores. Salomea, aka Cecelia, was my great grandmother. She married Wojciech Luczak first, then Wojciech Luczak. She is buried in St. Stanilaus Cemetery without a marker. According to a cousin, years ago, a handmade wooden one was there initially. It is also my understanding members of the MACH family are still living in the Buffalo area. I would like to touch base with them. All I know about Rosa is she arrived. This will probably take a bit of work. If you don't have the obits especially for the most recent deaths that is the first place I would look for a list of relatives and where they live. You might find a volunteer who has access to the Buffalo Newspapers or you can try this pay site. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/buffalonews Also check the Phone Directory "Switchboard" There are over 30 Mach hits in the Buffalo Area. Perhaps some will sound familiar or you can send out a mailing asking if they are related.
