    3. Hi Jennifer, I put the following in Google Search: History "Black Rock". NY 1850 Jefferson German St Many links came up but I found this one the most interesting: Buffalo History Index http://www.buffaloah.com/h/histindex.html If you go down to Black Rock there are several links. In 1853 there was a link to an Expansion Map which showed Jefferson. Many links but I didn't go through very many. Maybe you will find a clue there. Happy Hunting!
