Hello Everyone, Since its been quiet on this Board and everyone is very friendly and Helpful. I thought i would ask my question on this board . I was wondering has anyone ever sent in a request for Church records to the Catholic Archives in Regensburg Germany ? I have written to them several times asking them the procedure and i have not received a response back. . So i was wondering if anyone has had much success ? The web site indicates they charge a fee of 25 euros per half hour . So i was wondering if anyone on this board could help me on the procedure on how you did it Thank You Spring is Almost here !!! Paul, I have had great cooperation from the neighboring diocese of Wuerzburg. All of their old parish books are on microfiche, and readily available in the archive, but not elsewhere, as far as I know. I have never asked the people there for assistance by mail, but they have been helpful when I was there in person. It is possible that the microfiche project went on in every Bavarian diocese. Did you write them in German? You might get a better answer that way. Before my two productive visits to Wuerzburg I telephoned the archive and made an appointment. This is necessary because they have a limited number of readers. When I called, I just asked for an English speaker, and got one quite quickly. Good luck with your research.
