I just finished reading your latest post in which you answered some of my thoughts. I did find myself in a similar situation and did exactly what you said in your last line. I gave a copy to only those who asked for it but if I didn't want them to see certain info, I made sure it wasn't included in their copy. So far, it worked. Backing off is a good choice.
