    3. Thank you for allowing me to join your list. I am researching a man who died while travelling on the Hudson from the port of New York City to Buffalo. A journal of a fellow traveler indicates the man died en route to Buffalo, was examined by the coroner there, and interred. No mention is made of where he was interred. I am having trouble finding any cemeteries that date to 1840/1841 in the area. In addition do coroner's inquests date from this time as well? Thank you, Christy Fillerup

    3. Sorry, my question was more about sources. The family did not stay in the Buffalo area, but moved on to Ohio. The family name is Greenhalgh, given name William. He died in October of 1840.
