National Aniline Co. was originally named Schoellkopf Aniline Co. See: http://www.epa.gov/region02/waste/fsbuffal.pdf I suspect that there is no connection between Buffalo Chemical and National Aniline, unless National Aniline bought out Buffalo Chemical at some point. Here's a neighborhood tour: http://www.acsu.buffalo.edu/~gardella/sbtour.htm Hope this helps! St. Matthew's is now a United Church of Christ, 5289 South McKinley Parkway, Hamburg. I do not believe the records have been transcribed, but I went to the church in 1999 and searched the records. Thank you for the information. I have been to Pine Ridge and have found their monument. The monument helped to confirm their years of birth.
Thank you. Now I need to look for a local researcher. I really appreciate the information. My great grandfather worked as a Teamster for decades, about 1890 to the 1920s. The US Census, generically said he worked for a chemical company. I just found a 1891 newspaper article that stated he worked for Buffalo Chemical Company. The family lived on Babcock and Seneca St. area for decades. I've been trying to learn as much as I can about this company, without any luck. I've spent a lot of time on Google and in BuffaloResearch.com. Could this company have later become National Aniline? Your assistance is most helpful. Cindy

Good evening: I would like to thank all the new volunteers who added new articles this past week. I was amazed at the overwhelming number of individuals who answered my email asking for assistance in transcribing newspaper articles. In one week they were able to do what I might have been able to do in two months and are still are working on even more articles. That email caused several other individuals to volunteer to do articles in any other area of the US or Canada that I had waiting to be transcribed. My great grandparents appear to have been married at this church in 1882. Is there anyone on this list know where I might find their records? I didn't find them on the LDS site. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks, Jackie
