Jann, If the Texters were Catholic, they might be buried in the Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, which is on Union Road in Williamsville, a few blocks south of the church with the same name. I don't know of any online listing for this cemetery. I walked through it during a visit to the area last summer and made notes from a few of the grave markers, and sorry, I didn't note anyone named Texter, but I wasn't looking for that name. I was hoping to find some of my HOCK relatives, who lived in Amherst from about 1830-1860. Unfortunately, I didn't find them either. --- Brian J. You don't state a time period for these burials. As you might expect, there are a dozen or so cemeteries in the Town of Amherst, and lots more nearby. That list must be deficient. George

Would deaths that occurred at the Buffalo State Hospital have been registered with Buffalo Vital Statistics or did the hospital issue their own certificates.

Buffalo Street Railroad Company was a predecessor to the International Railway Company (IRC). William Reed Gordon's book "90 Years of Buffalo Railways" is as close of a bible as you'll find to the history. Little information about employees, heavy on corporate Hx and photos. It should give you some historical context. First published in the early 1970's, it's undoubtedly in the BECHS Libraries. Dale
Not real likely, alas. Even those few companies for which records survive (like the Larkin Co. business records at the Historical Society), only a few records mention employees by name, such as senior management. I >have reason to believe that Hans Eric Hansson born 1880 in Sweden whose >name was anglicized to ''Edward Hugo Hanson'' married in Buffalo prior to >1905. Gail, In the library of the Western New York Genealogical Society are films of the marriage registrations in Erie County, and of indexes to them. Unfortunately, they are quite difficult to use, and, in my experience, I find about one in three searches. I checked the index for males from about 1901 to 1906. I saw a few Hansons, but no Edward or Hugo. So we struck out on this attempt. Sorry. Unfortunately, the official county records are essentially identical to the films I looked at. By the way, thanks a lot for pointing me to the 1901 Canadian census. I wasn't aware that the transcription was so far along. I think this is the best job of making census widely available that I have ever seen! I didn't find any new clues to my wandering great uncle or his daughter, but I did happen upon one of his brothers. This mas was a widower with two children. I thought that he brought his children back to Ontario to stay with his father and a sister, while he worked in the west somewhere. But no! In 1901 he was boarding with his young daughter at a house in Atwood, ON, the nearest settled place to the family farm. His son, who was a little older, was boarding at the farm next door to the patriarchal farm. Now I know from other evidence that the daughter wound up living with an Aunt in Fergus, but apparently not as early as I thought. I also filled in a couple of blanks on my grandmother's side. She was from Port Perry, ON. Thanks! George

Everyone who expressed skepticism was right. Delete any email from a bank, credit card company, retailer, and so on, addressed to "Customer" and demanding your account number, PIN number, etc. But this one, surprisingly enough, was a honest mistake.
