    1. DeWitt Clinton RAYNOR
    2. Karima
    3. I am searching for any information on DeWitt Clinton RAYNOR (b. 1881 in IL - d. 1940, Buffalo, NY) According to family records (and unfortunately there aren't many) DeWitt died in Buffalo, NY in 1940. I don't know the date when he first moved to Buffalo. He was living in Manhattan in the mid 1920s and then I can find no records for him until his death as noted in a family bible. If it is possible, could someone please check any death records or burial records that might be available for the time period 1920s through 1940s? I would be very greatful for any assistance in finding more information. Thank you, Karima --- avast! Antivirus: Outbound message clean. 3. i sure do hope you are scanning them and either giving them the scan or keeping the scan... if you think these people were in erie, why not send them to a library that has digital archives in the area with the info that belongs to the image... that way they can get the image any time AND others can see them... i am always concerned when i read that people are looking for family members to GIVE images to.... if YOU dont know who these people are already, then likely you will be giving the images to people you are not related to.... and that is sad....cause they will be on ebay in not much time, sans names..... consider just scanning them and putting them into a digital library... 3. Hi Zona, From what I have from a descendant and various listers from the Monroe List is that Jacob KLEINDIENST was born in Bavarian in 1824, came to the US in 1843 and married (Mary) Magdalene ROHR(ER) in 1848. Their first child would seem to have been a girl Magdalena but she doesn't appear after 1860. The family were recorded in Niagara in 1860 - Jacob was 35, a blacksmith and from Germany, while his wife Magdalena (written with a C rather than a G) was 36 and from France. All the children were born in New York State - Magdalena, Charles, Catherine, Julia, Henry and Louisa (who died in Buffalo in 1877, according to Mt. Hope Cemetery records). By 1870 Jacob and family were in Rochester but now his wife is Margaret, aged 41 and from Baden - no daughter Magdalena and a new 1 month old Libbie. With them is Charles F. SIES (I have also found SEIS) who was 18. I presume Margaret had been married to a Mr. SIES (SEIS) before marrying Jacob. Records at Mt. Hope Cemetery have her as Margaret SEIS. I presume Louisa was the last child born to Magdalena and that she must have died between 1860 and 1870. I have further records on the family in Rochester - various Census Reports and marriages. Jacob descendant thought that Margaret and Magdalena were the same person until I was sent a copy of the 1860 Census Report plus a reference about one of his daughters which stated the mother was born in France and not Baden. Marriage records from Rochester state that the mother of Catherine, Julia and Henry was Magdalena or Lena ROHR or ROHRER. Concerning where the KLEINDIENST family were in Rochester, the address would seem to be 65 Orchard Street. If you come across anything on the ROHR(ER), SEIS (SIES) or KLEINDIENST family in the Buffalo area I would be very grateful. Many thanks, Charles ----- Original Message ----- From: <zona.himmelsbach@juno.com> To: <NYERIE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, June 18, 2005 5:40 AM Subject: Re: [NYERIE] Free offer to send a census today only > What year was Jacob KLEINDIENST born in?
