Hi Robin, When I was last in Tivoli, I was told all their records burned in a huge fire years ago. My grandmother, Maud Simmons, and her family came from that area. Their are tons of Simmons up there but I can't find anyone related to the family. Her mother was a Bell, gram was born in 1875. So good luck. The people in Tivoli told me to go to the "City" of Poughkeepsie and asked to see the records there. When I did a very unpleasant man told me there no records like that in their files. There is also a "Town of Poughkeepsie" and how the boundaries are drawn I have no idea. I was born in St. Francis Hospital 70 years ago and I don't know if that is in the city or town....
