Westchester County Genealogical Society (NY) Upcoming Meeting ===================================================== ***MEETING NOTICE*** ===================================================== TOPIC: The upcoming meeting of the 25th year of the Westchester County Genealogical Society will be “Researching Family Roots and DNA” a talk by Elizabeth M. Macfarlane on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 10am. The study of family history through DNA analysis is a new & rapidly growing field of research that is yielding exciting results. Ms. Macfarlane is a graduate of U of Conn. as well as having a MPH degree from the U of Mich. School of Public Health. Since 1984, Elizabeth Macfarlane has been doing genealogical research and is Director for Genealogy for the International Clan MacFarlane Society. She became interested in using DNA as a research tool and in 2005 initiated the very successful MacFarlane Surname DNA Project for which she is the Group Administrator.
