How far is Newburg from Mt Carmel.? Grant I'm going to guess I'm wrong here - but, Newburg(h) is on the Hudson River. The Mt. Carmel I found is in either Delaware or Broome County 128 miles west up past the Catskills. It being winter, I'm willing to bet this is another Mt. Carmel that you mention. Other references point to a Mount Carmel placename around Poughkeepsie and also a Carmel, NY. However, I'll defer to those more familiar with the area than me. Tim Stowell interested bystander
