I am having trouble tracking Barbara Ramstetter Argus to Hammondsport, but if you look up Catherine Fridel in 1870 Census, you will find Elisabeth's Ramstetter Aunt who grows grapes in Hammondsport. -------------------------- I am really curious and confused on Philip Schaad. Do you believe that immigrant Philippus Schaude is the same person who married Apollonia, is the brother of Adam Schaad, and the Philip Schaad in Rochester in the 1870 US Census ?
