    1. Re: [NYDUTCHE] Isaac Ridgway/Ridgeway
    2. I am searching for information on the family of Isaac Ridgeway Sr. He shows first in the 1790 Census for Frederick(son)town, Dutchess Co NY. By 1810 his son James shows up beside him on the Philipstown, Dutchess Co NY census. Isaac Sr does not show. In the 1820 Philipstown, Putnam Co.,NY Census Isaac is gone but other son's appear. Uriah and John appear as neighbors. A Mathew McCabe lives between them. Possibly he married a daughter of Isaac and was living on Ridgeway land? By 1830 Philipstown, Putnam Co., NY Census, Isaac Jr appears. A obituary for a George W Ridgeway b 1823 son of Isaac Jr, claims that his grandfather Isaac Ridgway Sr of Putnam NY died when he was 7 years old. That would make it about 1830 +/- I found pension records for a Sargent Isaac Ridgway (Albany), received $60 for his Penison dated 4 March 1838.Was this Isaac Sr or Isaac Jr? Isaac Sr is found in the AGBI as head of household in First US Census NY. Gives year 1750. If this is his birth year that would have made Isaac Sr 88 years old at the time he collected the pension. The pension record did not have a death date recorded so I am assuming this Isaac was alive and that this was in fact Isaac Jr. I descend from Uriah & Laurana(?)
