Peter V R served in the same regiment as several Forts, inc. I believe, Abram Fort. I have a very old and fragile "Dutch" printed Fort Family Bible, maybe the one mentioned in the will of Abram Fort, and a very old chair with rush seat, hand-lathed, family legend claims both of these pieces were from the Fort family, brought from Europe (Holland) c1660, where the family spent some years prior to coming to the NY colonies,and were definitely French Hueguenots. I am trying to ascertain who Jane A. Forts' parents were, Abrams dau. ? and hope against all odds the Fort house has not been demolished, my email address is same as listed here through aol.com Please contact me.
