Yes the names did get repeated - it was very confusing trying to sort the Kimlin's out - It seems there were two Richard James Kimlins both born in Ireland - one born abt. 1821 and on b. abt. 1842 - if I recall correctly I think the one born in 1842 married his cousin, a daughter of the one b. in 1821. The Richard James b. 1821 also had a son Richard James b. abt. 1846. Anyway I understand that the name may have originally been Kimlahan.
