Dear Vicky: I, too, am interested in the Winegar family, in the mid 1700's, at which point my William Mitchell married (13 Nov 1759, Amenia) an Elizabeth "Betty" Winegar, d. o. Garrett and Catherine (Snyder) Winegar. This happened about 1722 but I have no specific date or place for this marriage record, My interest shifts with this couple to the Mitchell family which evolved into my own. I did visit the library in Poughkeepsie (sp?) and gathered some information, but not too much. I know of Garrett and Catherine, and his father was Uldrich - Uldrick, married to an Anna Arnoldt. I also picked up on their residence at Hitchcock's Corner, and that he came from Switzerland and she from Wurttemburg. I will happily share what I have found with others with a similar connection.
