    1. Re: [NYDUTCHE] The Winegar Family
    2. Dear Nan: I have not pursued the Winegar family other than to try and determine the ancestry of the Elizabeth "Betty" Winegar who married William Mitchell in Amenia, Dutchess, NY. This took place on 13 Nov 1759. I have determined from my research in the Library in Poukeepsie (sp?) that her parents were Garrett Winegar and Catherine Snyder, Grandparents were Uldrick Winegar and Anna Arnoldt and Heinrich Schneider and with wife unknown. Further than this I didn't go, because I was interested in following the Mitchell line down through their son Zepheniah Platt Mitchell. I hope that I have something in this area that would be of use to you, as I looked no further at that time, I am certainly a long way from Poukeepsie now, and don't have a note as to sources other than the marriage records of Amenia. I will look up your names and get back to you ASAP. It may be a few days as I have a busy few days. Have you talked to Joan in American Folk, Utah.? If not let me know and I will get you the info for her. She has over 9000 Winegar on her list.( which I have) Talk to you soon.
