C." as if he went by that name? The 1900 census does have a Charles and Mary (Marie?) living in Poughkeepsie which matches one of the passenger lists.According to that they were married 9 years. The 1920 census says he was naturalized 1890.You could get those papers. It looks like he and Marie took a trip back to Germany in June 1910.I don't find them on the 1930 census.Have you checked vital records for marriage/death or probate records? 3. Cathy, Not sure if you already have this info.... Did Karl live in Poughkeepsie? I see a Karl in the 1920 Census. Says he was born abt 1868. Record shows he came from Germany in 1883 and is now a widow. Children listed are: Charles, William, Charlotte, Marie, Janet, and a grandson, Charles. Record shows he was a merchant (grocer). 3. Dear Pat, I don't know what resources you are blessed to have, but I would very much appreciate a check for CUTLER, in particular, Nathan, David, or Jonathan; and TRAVIS; in particular John, Esther(Vail), Isaac or Elizabeth. (David Cutler mar Elizabeth Travis ca 1803, and have never been able to locate record of same. David is (supposedly) son of Nathan Cutler, but cannot prove this one either. Been tracking Isaac Travis to hopefully get more info since he was Elizabeth's brother. These folks were early in Dutchess and Westchester (Travis) counties. THANK YOU!!
