It was built by Daniel DeClark who married Grietje Cosyns, the widow of Jan Pietersz Haring. By the time of the Revolution it belonged to John DeWint, a planter from the West Indies. 2. Janni Belgum
    3. I am trying to find John Woodrow and his son Joseph and the rest of the family who left the US around 1809 to move to Canada. Material I have in gotten in Canada suggests that the family came from Dutchess County, NY; but I message I found on a Gen Web board suggests that they might have come from Bucks County, PA. I`m looking for any information on this family. Sincerely, Rev. Janni Belgum in British Columbia, Canada

Wyntje Roosa was single at the time of her marriage to Nicholas duPuy which occured sometime after 22 March 1707 at Kingston. See [Hoes Marriage #247] where it is shown that 22 March 1707 was the date of First Banns; the date of marriage was not given. This Wyntje Roosa was born June of 1682 in Hurley and subsequently *baptized* at Kingston on 4 June 1682 [Hoes B#264], the daughter of Arie Aldertsz Roosa and Maria Everts Pels. #2. Wyntje Roosa was also single at the time of her marriage to Willem Krom on 12 November 1699 at Kingston [see Hoes M#149]; the date of First Banns was not given. This Wyntje Roosa was also born circa 1682 in Hurley, but her baptismal record has not survived. She was the daughter of Heyman Aldertsz Roosa and Anna Margariet Roosevelt. Arien or Albert Heymanse Roosa and Maria Evertse Pels, and Wintje was born 04 June 1682 in Hurley, Ulster Co., NY, died about 1760. It surely sounds like she might have been your Wyntje . . . maybe her first husband William Crom died and she later married Mr. DePuy on 22 March 1707 In Kingston, Ulster Co., NY. - - - Karen Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. However she married Willem Crom of Marbletown on 12 November 1699 at Kingston Dutch Reformed Church by Johannes Petrus Nucella (Kingston Church Records). I couldn't quite figure out if she was the right age to be your Wyntje with an earlier marriage (William Crom would have to be the 1st marriage as she was only 17 when she married him). I'm especially interested in any baptism records for children of Frans/Francis Delong and wife Magdalena (DePuy) or wife Catherine. Frans' parents were Jan deLang/Delong and Anna Magdalena Wyser who allegedly settled in Dutchess Co. around 1713. Sometime around then or shortly thereafter their son Frans was born. It is unclear as to which of Frans' wives came first (Catherine or Magdalena). At some point in time Frans moved to Smithfield Twp., Northampton Co., PA (in an area now part of Monroe Co.). He died there about 1806. Magdalena's parents were Nicholis DePuy and Wyntje Roosa. By 1745 they were also living in the area that is now part of Monroe Co., PA. Any shred of info that connects the Delong family and DePuy family is of interest to me. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
