Her grandfather was Peter Meyers of Sherman and grandmother Charlotte Curry Meyers. My grandmother lived on Clifford Avenue until she married my grandfather John Baker (Danbury) in 1914. She is not listed as a boarder on the census. Is there any connection with Peter and your ggg grandfather Joseph? I have always been wondering what the connection is between the two families. Where Peter & Joseph Meyers brother, cousins or what? Can you shed some light on this? you can email me at: kbpolito@aol.com I do have some information to share if you need it. Have not searched in Dutchess for awhile. I ask this question very respectfully. To where have the church records been moved, e.g., the combined Pough and Beekman Presbyterian church records, etc. I'm certain that I browsed through the records. Many thanks, Robert A. Ferguson

I'm from the Thomas Cary of Broome County. Just to complicate matters, there seems to be 2 Thomas Cary's in Broome County. Our Thomas was married to Mary (Polly) Smith. Polly was born about 1763. That seems to be just a few years off from the Polly you reference. However, there is no indication where this Thomas and Polly are buried. I have the children as Samuel, Mary, Eliza,James, John, and Charles. Fixing broken links I ran across this massive map site: http://www.wnylegacy.org/index.php under which is the Holland Land Company Maps at the State University of New York (SUNY Fredonia). These maps are mainly about New York state and western New York at that - from Herkimer west, but also contain early maps from Pennsylvania to Maine to Georgia and points in between. I spent a fascinating evening poring over these old maps. Tim Stowell Chattanooga, TN
