Elsie, There may well be a Waggoner/Wagner connection. We go back to a Hans Wagner (and all the possible variant spellings thereof) who landed, we think, in Philladelphia on the "Plaisance" in 1732. I also have somewhere I can't find right now a marriage record from somewhere in PA, where he married a Martin, and a baptismal record for their son John Martin Wagner. I don't know about a possible move to NY, since there is only a blank populated by legends between then and the birth of my ancestor Isaac Waggoner in SC in 1761.
