This list was set up with the intention of aiding those people who immigrated AFTER 1800 which, for the most part, it is my understanding the Dutch-Colonies List does not address -- For instance, my ancestors immigrated from the Netherlands c1840 on. Yes, it is true, we may get into some areas that will overlap, but isn't that the case with most lists?
