Netherlands, went to NJ, then came back to NY around the turn of the century. A brief history of my Vanderbeeks, who were coopers since the mid-19th century. James was b. circa 1930 in NJ, m. Rachel, moved to NY & had several children, boys & girls. One of them was my ggfather Cornelius b. NY 1857. He m. Rebecca Mount & resided in Brooklyn, later in Patchogue. He d. in 1921.
