Lisa, Welcome to the NY Dutch List. For starters, I'm very curious as to how you know that 1680 is the birth year and Jun 1719 is the death date for Charles Oliver? Do you have documents with this information? Charles' will that was proven June 12, 1719 does not have a *written* date. Therefore, we cannot assume that he died in that Jun or even in that year. I haven't been able to find out much at all on this Charles, or his family. In his will, the only children mentioned are Elizabeth, Robert, George and Jane. Yet, there is a Richard Oliver who married Martha Bennews/Bennoit in the Albany RDC on 29 Oct 1734 as "Ritsert Olfert and Martha Benewe". But I can't find any connection between this Richard and Charles Oliver. This Richard and Martha had a son John bp. Albany RDC 6 Oct 1738. Is this *your* John Oliver? I am currently working on my connection to Charles Oliver born 1680 and died June 1719 in New York. He married Margaret Schuyler in Albany County New York. I believe my line is through John Oliver son of Richard Oliver. Later my Olivers moved to Ontario, where my Grandmother was born. Just starting to work on the New York/Dutch side, and it is a bit confusing at the moment. Samuel Oliver, son of John(Johannes)Oliver, was my GreatGreatGreat Grandfather. He married Elizabeth Ketchum, and their son Adam Henry Oliver was my Great Great Grandfather, he married Theresa Duvall. Theresa's line of the Youmans also tie into this Oliver line. Any help is appreciated, thanks... Lisa Hoskins >>
