Hi Everyone, I'm new to this list. Thru the census lookup list I have learned that my great-great-uncle Leonard Bowers (Leendert Boer) died in Lockport, Niagara county between 1900-1910. His wife Martha died there between 1910-1920 (at least 91 yrs old, born in England). Leonard was born in Holland in November 1828 and came to the USA in 1848. He was a ship's carpenter by trade. Is there a way to find out when exactly they died and perhaps get a copy of the death certificate? I know I could ask the dept. of health to search for them but that would involve research fees and I am trying to avoid that ... I don' really need a copy of the certificates as long as I know what is in them and I have the cert.number/source. Any suggestions?
